About Us

Regent Mental Health Group is a multidisciplinary, full-service mental health clinic dedicated to the effective treatment of mental illness -- acute and chronic, mild and severe. We work to alleviate the suffering induced by major mental illness, striving to give comfort, support and hope.

Mission Statement

Regent Mental Health Group integrates therapy, psychiatry, and advocacy. We create a safe, inclusive space where healing is nurtured, resilience is strengthened, and hope is restored. A place where people of all backgrounds, cultures, abilities, and identities feel seen, heard, and supported by overcoming challenges, embracing their strengths, and achieving lasting mental well-being. We strive to create a safe, affirming space that celebrates all races and LGBTQIA2S+ identities, promote equity, and empower everyone to live authentically with pride. Together with our clients, we deliver sensitive, compassionate health care with a commitment to the preservation of human dignity.

History

Historically, our clinic has existed for over 30 years, initially having a child and family focus. We were pioneering the use of somatic therapies in younger patients before others. As parents noticed their children were improving they began to seek treatment as well. Now we see a balance of children, adolescents, and adults.

Care Philosophy

We are patient-focused and strive for cultural competence.

We work towards remission (recovery) not just response.

Strength-based, evidence-based, and family-focused are principles we value.

Coordination, communication, and team work are just some of the values that guide our treatment. This is why we often involve a therapist and psychiatrist to more thoroughly address the patients' need.

We strongly support consumer and family advocacy groups such as the National Alliance for the Mentally Ill, Wisconsin Family Ties, and self-help groups, to name a few.
